About the Chilhowie Apple Festival
The Chilhowie Apple Festival is a long-standing and popular community tradition in Chilhowie, Virginia. The festival was first held on October 2, 1953, at the grounds of the Old Chilhowie High School. The first festival was a great success and it has since become an annual tradition in Chilhowie.
The Apple Festival features many attractions, including food booths, art & craft vendors, beauty pageants, a pet show, a parade, a high school band competition, agricultural exhibits, apple orchard tours, and more. In 2024, the three-day Chilhowie Apple Festival will take place from Friday, September 27 to Sunday, September 29.
