The Independence Sicilian Heritage Festival is held annually over the second weekend of March in Independence, Louisiana. The festival celebrates the culture, accomplishments, and food of the Sicilian families who settled in Independence and Tangipahoa Parish.
The Sicilian Heritage Festival features many attractions including amusement rides, games, spaghetti Cookoffs, a parade, meatball toss contests, live music, food booths, and lots of family-friendly fun. In 2025, the three-day Independence Sicilian Heritage Festival will begin on Friday, March 7 and conclude on Sunday, March 9.
