About the Golconda Shrimp Festival
The Shrimp Festival is held annually in the historic Downtown Golconda, Illinois. It is a premiere food event that also showcases the natural beauty of rural Pope County and the vibrant history of Golconda, one of Illinois’ first river towns. The Shrimp Festival features many attractions including a variety of shrimp dishes, other food items, live entertainment, inflatables for kids, carriage rides, and more. In 2024, the Golconda Shrimp Festival will take place on Saturday, September 21.
