The Amherst County Fair is held annually at the fairgrounds located along Sweet Briar Drive in Amherst, Virginia. The fair features many attractions including amusement rides, live music, contests, exhibits, livestock, food booths, and more. In 2024, the four-day Amherst County Fair will begin on Thursday, October 17 and conclude on Sunday, October 20.

Parking
There is free parking for fairgoers on Old Stage Road. Shuttles will run continuously between the parking area and the fairgrounds.
Handicap/ADA parking will be available across from the fairgrounds, for those with proper Handicap identification.
