About Charro Days
The Charro Days Fiesta is a popular tradition, organized annually in late February in Brownsville, Texas. The festival celebrates the spirit of two cultures between the border towns of Brownsville and Matamoros. First held in 1938, Charro Days honors the Mexican heritage of the area on both sides of the Rio Grande. The event features music, food, folkloric dancers, contests, and lots of fun. In 2025, the three-day Brownsville Charro Days will begin on Thursday, February 27 and conclude on Saturday, March 1.
