The Green River Melon Days is held annually over the 3rd weekend in September. It is a family-friendly and fun-filled event that offers many activities and attractions for everyone. The festival features a parade, food booths, craft vendors, live music, amusement rides, pony rides, melon carving contests, melon eating contests, seed spitting contests, games, cantaloupes, canaries, honeydews, and lots of watermelons. In 2024, the two-day Green River Melon Days will take place on Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21.
