About the Right Whale Festival
The Right Whale Festival is held annually at Main Beach Park in Fernandina Beach, Florida. The festival celebrates the annual return of the endangered North Atlantic Right Whales to the warm coastal waters of Northeast Florida and Georgia, where these aquatic mammals give birth to and nurse their young.
The Right Whale Festival raises awareness about the threats to Right Whales and how we can help their cause. The event also highlights efforts to protect Right Whales while offering ocean-themed activities and exhibits. In 2024, the two-day Right Whale Festival will be held on Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3.
