The 34th Annual Hempstead Watermelon Festival
The Watermelon Festival is held each year in Downtown Hempstead, Texas. It is a family-friendly event featuring watermelon contests, a parade, food booths, commercial vendors, kiddie rides, BBQ cookoffs, games, a car show, live entertainment, and so much more. In 2024, the two-day Hempstead Watermelon Festival will take place on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20.
