72nd Year of the Luling Watermelon Thump
The Watermelon Thump is held each year over the last full weekend of June in Luling, Texas. It is a family-friendly and fun-filled event featuring carnival rides, tasty food, live music, pageants, the watermelon thump parade, a car show, children’s activities, seed spitting contests, melon eating contests, and more. In 2025, the four-day Luling Watermelon Thump will begin on Thursday, June 26 and conclude on Sunday, June 29.
