About the Rush Springs Watermelon Festival
The Watermelon Festival is held annually on the 2nd Saturday of August in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. First held in 1948, this family-friendly event celebrates local watermelons with watermelon-themed activities. The festival features art & craft vendors, carnival rides, seed-spitting contests, a 5K run/walk, live entertainment, a car show, food booths, carnival rides, and more. In 2024, the Rush Springs Watermelon Festival will take place on Saturday, August 10.
